Certificate of Accountancy

This certificate is designed for college graduates who are working toward meeting the educational requirements of the Washington State CPA Examination. Additional courses are necessary to fulfill the requirements to sit for the exam. The courses in this certificate are not considered to be an official statement of acceptability by the Washington State Board of Accountancy. Students should consult the State Board's website for further information. This certificate requires prerequisites of ACCT&201, ACCT&202, and ACCT&203 (Financial Accounting I and II and Managerial Accounting.)

Throughout this program of study the importance of a responsible and professional work ethic is stressed. Factors leading to such a work ethic are identified and discussed. Instruction is also provided in effective leadership and how it enhances the work environment. Input from this program's industrial advisory committee is essential to curriculum content pertaining to the work ethic and leadership as well as the technically oriented curriculum.
