Computer Science prepares students to transfer to a 4-year institution for further technical study. NSCC offers a sequence of three levels of Computer Science courses (CSC) that satisfy the prerequisites for most Computer Science and Engineering departments at the University of Washington and other universities in the Northwest and elsewhere.

This program's primary goal is to prepare students to transfer to a 4-year institution, rather than prepare for immediate entry into the workplace. NSCC students receive a strong foundation for further study, which is why the NSCC Computer Science Transfer program often sends more transfer students to UW than any other community college in the area.
