A New Student should begin by following the Steps to Admission. This section walks through the steps of applying to the college and enrolling in courses. New students intending to obtain a transfer degree from NSCC, will enroll in courses with the help of their advisor, usually during the New Student Orientation session.

Students who have their SID and temporary PIN, may register for classes during the open registration period for new students. Open registration for new students begins on Tuesday of the 8th week of the prior quarter.

A New Student that is unsure of what they want to study, can visit the Study Options section for an introduction to the different options that are available at NSCC.
