Q: What are the professional and technical certificate and degree programs that you offer?
A: We offer many professional/technical programs here. To browse our programs, click here.

Q: Do you offer any six-month certificate programs?
A: We do offer 3 to 5 quarter programs through a variety of certificates; however, we are not offering any fast-track (short-term, intensive) programs at this time.

Q: How much will my program cost?
A: This answer will vary depending on your program and any prerequisites that you may need to take before you start the program. Other costs may include books and supplies, uniforms and tools. The best thing to do is to meet with an advisor first.

Q: Does NSCC provide job placement?
A: No, but we provide you with the support services that you will need to find a job. Our Career Development Center offers a variety of workshops to help you with your job search, resume writing and interviewing skills. The Career Development Center also has a job board, listing a wide variety of employment opportunities. Additionally, it is not uncommon for instructors to be notified of employment opportunities for their students.

Q: Does NSCC provide internships?
A: We do have an internship coordinator who can assist students with the process of finding and getting credit for internships. More information is available from the Internships pages.

Q: Can I waive some of my coursework based on previous work experience?
A: It is possible. You would need to meet with the faculty coordinator of your program to determine whether or not you are eligible to have coursework waived based on previous work experience.
