Students planning to complete a college transfer degree (Associate of Arts, Associate in Business or Associate of Science) or a professional-technical degree or certificate should plan to attend a New Student Orientation. If you are entering the Early Childhood Education, or Health/Medical programs, you also must contact the Health and Human Services Division for advising, orientation and registration information.
- At the New Student Orientation you will:
- Find out about NSCC resources, services and policies
- Learn about how to register for classes
- Become familiar with your degree or certificate program
- Be able to ask questions
- Meet with an advisor
- Plan your schedule
- Have the opportunity to participate in a campus tour.
To register for classes, students who have not completed college level English or math often need the results from NSCC placement tests. Be sure to bring your English and math test placement test scores with you to the New Student Orientation. If you have attended another college, bring an unofficial copy of your transcript.
