Available positions are posted on the bulletin board outside of the Financial Aid Office and also online. Please visit the Work Study page (http://www.northseattle.edu/enroll/finance/wstudy/) for more information.

Please visit our Scholarships site to search for available scholarships, get tips on how to apply, and other information that will help you succeed!

Every scholarship has its own set of criteria that a student must meet in order to be eligible. Many scholarships can be found posted on the bulletin boards outside of the Financial Aid Office. Online searches are also effective using search engines such as FastWeb.com. • Loans

North Seattle Community College DOES NOT participate in Federal Student Loan programs (Direct/ FFELP Stafford Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans or PLUS Loans).

NSCC does have a Perkins Loan program. No application is necessary for this loan. If you are eligible, the Perkins Loan will be offered to you along with any other financial aid on your Award Notification. If it is not awarded to you, you can always submit a written request to have your file reviewed for Perkins Loan eligibility. There is limited money available for this program, so there is no guarantee that you will receive the loan.

There are many organizations, banks, and credit unions that offer non-federal student loans (often called Alternative Loans). These types of loans generally require students to have good credit and a steady source of income, or to provide a co-borrower who does. Depending on the type of loan, a student may be required to make payments while in school. North Seattle Community College does not endorse any lender. Students are encouraged to research credit unions and other banks before making a final decision.
