If the total of your grants is greater than your tuition and fee charges, you will receive a Financial Aid check for any financial aid funds that remain after your tuition and fees are paid. If you were awarded a Perkins Loan, a check will be calculated for the loan amount. (Please be aware that your tuition and fees must be paid before any financial aid checks can be generated.) Financial Aid checks are available on the second (2nd) day of Fall, Winter and Spring quarters at the Cashier Office provided you have:
(Students who do not meet the above conditions may experience a delay in receiving their financial aid checks. These students should contact the Financial Aid Office after they have completed their registration to inquire about when their checks will be ready.) You are required to have photo identification and an Attendance Verification Form* signed by all your instructors to submit to the cashier before your check will be released. Students must pick up their financial aid check within 14 days or they will be canceled. Canceled checks can be reissued at a later date once attendance has been verified if necessary. Summer Quarter checks are available starting the first day of the quarter. Students must have met the requirements listed above (1-3). Attendance Verification and photo identification are required. Due to the end of the fiscal year on June 30, all Summer quarter checks must be picked up by 2pm on the 30th or they will be canceled and returned to the funding program. These checks cannot be reissued. (Please Note: If June 30th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, all summer quarter checks must be picked up by 2pm of the preceeding Friday.) *If you are a distance learning student who does not come to campus to attend class(es), you must still verify "electronic attendance." Please have your instructor(s) email the Financial Aid office using the email listed on the Financial Aid homepage to verify that you are electronically participating (attending) class. Once we have received the email notification, a Financial Aid Staff person can initial the paper Verification Form for you to take to the Cashier's Office. |
