Scholarships

Scholarships are an excellent way to obtain much needed money for tuition, book, or living expenses.

Scholarship applications are generally available between October and April for the following academic year and are due during Spring quarter. Applications and notifications are posted on the bulletin boards outside of the Financial Aid Office. Postings change frequently, so check them often for the most current information.

North Seattle Community College's Education Fund also offers scholarships to current students. Applications are available after January 1 and are due by April 30. Students should complete a FAFSA several months prior to the scholarship deadline to be considered for the need-based awards. More information is available from the Education Fund Scholarships web page.

Some scholarships require that students have financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid office, but many scholarships focus on a student's achievements, interests, or affiliations.

While most scholarships have similar elements, you should always read the application carefully. Every organization has their own specific criteria, requirements, and application process.
