URL: Email: rschneider@sccd.ctc.edu
The Ida Mary L. and Ervin R. NePage Foundation is established by the Ervin R. NePage Trust and is administered by the Trust Division of U.S. Bank of Washington.
The purpose of the foundation is to grant scholarships to worthy students attending Seattle Community Colleges who are enrolled in Nursing, Library Science, or Social Sciences (including Early Childhood Education). (*At NSCC Nursing & ECE are the only eligible programs.) In accordance with the trust provisions, the scholarship grants may be used by the recipients for tuition, room & board, clothing, uniforms, transportation, books, laboratory fees and supplies, without accounting in any manner to the Scholarship Board. This scholarship is unique because it is retro-awarded for the 2008/2009 academic year.
Applicants must be enrolled full time (Nursing & ECE can be part-time) and must have completed at least one quarter in the above listed field of study at a Seattle Community College in order to apply for the scholarship. References from two instructors and a copy of grade transcripts must be submitted for consideration. Be sure to confirm with the Registration/Admissions Office that you are coded as in the Nursing or ECE program before you print out transcripts. Transcripts can be unofficial.
The amounts of the scholarship awards will vary. A student granted a scholarship may also apply the following year. The applications are to be completed and returned to the Financial Aid office at NSCC.
The members of the Selection Committee and their families and any relatives of persons employed by the Trustee, U.S.Bank, are excluded from eligibility for any grants from the NePage Foundation.
Complete packets include: Application, 2 Instructor Recommendations and Seattle CC transcripts. For a copy of the application come to the NSCC Financial Aid Office or email Robin Schneider, NSCC Scholarship Coordinator, for an electronic copy at rschneider@sccd.ctc.edu or call (206) 528-4701.
