Educational Scholarships Dick's offers college, vocational, and self-improvement scholarships to every current employee who works 20 hours per week for at least six months and continues to work at least 20 hours per week while attending school or receiving childcare assistance. Current year High School Graduates need only work full time 2 months of the summer to qualify. See website for more details.
How the scholarship works: Participants who are enrolled and attend full-time receive $2,700-a-year for each of their first two years of college, followed by an increased award of $6,300-a-year for the last two college years.
A Dick's scholarship form must be submitted at least two weeks before the first tuition payment is due.
Dick's cuts a check directly to the college or university of choice.
Childcare Assistance As an extension of our Scholarship Program, childcare assistance of between $2,700-$6,300 per year is available to employees working 20 hours per week for at least six months -- and continuing to work at least 20 hours per week while receiving childcare assistance. If an employee doesn't use any or all of their available scholarship funds for tuition, they can use it for childcare.
