AWS Foundation for Future Welders

Posted: 22 Mar 2007

Due: Ongoing

URL: http://aws.org/foundation/

The AWS Foundation was established by the American Welding Society on September 13, 1989, to support programs that ensure the growth and development of the welding industry through strengthening research and educational opportunities in welding and related industries. From giving children their first glimmer of excitement in learning about the natural sciences, to providing funding for welding engineering undergraduates and fellowships for welding research, the AWS Foundation supports the welding industry. AWS offers scholarship funds that, once awarded, are payable directly to the school to which you have been accepted. It will cover the cost of tuition, books, supplies and related institutional costs.

Must be enrolled in a welding-related educational or training program, be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent. The school you attend must be in the United States or its territories. You are not required to be a member of the American Welding Society.
