Grant Applicants

The Seattle Milk Fund Childcare and Education Programs provide partial childcare and tuition funding to low-income families while one or both of the parents attend school full-time. This program is designed to meet the needs of both the parents and children.   While the parents work towards their educational goals and financial independence, the children are provided with a valuable learning opportunity in a quality licensed childcare facility or preschool.

Awarding childcare assistance is the largest expenditure in Seattle Milk Fund's budget. Students receiving childcare aid are presently attending South Seattle Community College, Seattle Central Community College, North Seattle Community College, Shoreline Community College, University of Washington, Renton Technical College and Lake Washington Technical College.  Full-time students at any of these accredited institutions who need childcare aid in order to complete their educational goals are eligible to apply for this program.

The Seattle Milk Fund is making a difference.  We measure our success by the success of our students.  We applaud the many mothers and fathers who have had the strength and perseverance to finish their college degrees while caring for young children on a limited family budget.
