Seattle Milk Fund Grant Applicants

The goal of the Seattle Milk Fund's Grant Program is to increase the economic stability of our families and community by breaking the cycle of minimum wage, low paying jobs.  By providing educational scholarships and daycare funding, our students are able to focus on both school and family. This program is designed to meet the needs of both parents and children; as parents attend school full time at an accredited, neighborhood educational institution, their children attend a quality, licensed childcare or preschool. Recent Seattle Milk Fund graduates include dental hygienists, medical assistants, teachers, nurses (LPN, RN and BSN levels) accountants, and social workers.

Awarding childcare assistance is the largest expenditure in Seattle Milk Fund's budget. Students receiving childcare aid attend South Seattle Community College, Seattle Central Community College, North Seattle Community College, Shoreline Community College, University of Washington, Renton Technical College and Lake Washington Technical College.  Full-time students at any of these accredited institutions who need childcare aid in order to complete their educational goals are eligible to apply for this program.
