Photo: Students make appointments at the Testing Center window. English and math Placement Tests: Most students enrolling at NSCC are required to take placement tests. The English and math placement tests are administered through the COMPASS system, a computer test that assesses your skill level and places you in the appropriate English and math classes.

The ESL Test Placement Test is designed to assess the language skills of non-native speakers with beginning or intermediate English language skills.

The GED Test is a way for someone who has not completed high school to show that he or she has the equivalent knowledge.

Proctored Test Services are also offered for students attending other colleges and universities.
