This is not a pass/fail test. The purpose of the placement test is to find out where your math skills are now and to place you in the best level to start classes. If you are taking the test soon, you probably won't be able to learn any new math; the best strategy is to review math you've already had (especially if you haven't used it for a long time!)

Other Resources
- Public libraries -- check the math section or ask for math review materials at the reference desk.
- Book stores -- In addition to books, some stores have laminated pages of formulas for review. For some people, this is enough to refresh their memory.
- Old textbooks, if you have them, can be another resource.
