Add/Drop Administrative Fee (FQ) Fee to cover costs associated with processing and dispersing add/drop refunds.

Anesthesia Tech Online Simulations Fee Recovery of actual unit cost incurred in providing online class materials from Center for Simulation, Safety and Advanced Learning Technology; University of Florida.

Campus Parking Fee (CQ) Campus parking is by permit only in marked stalls. Quarterly parking rates are computed from your enrollment document. These charges include a new 10% city parking tax and 9.5% State sales tax. Students may purchase either a Parking Permit or a transit pass, but not both.

Childcare Application (BG) One-time fee that covers costs associated with processing applications for campus childcare services.

Computer Lab Fee (CL) A quarterly lab fee is charged at the time of registration for every student enrolling in one or more computer-related classes. The fee is only charged once regardless of the number of computer classes in which the student is enrolled, and only for classes that require use of a computer lab or campus servers. Exceptions: Continuing Education classes that incorporate fees into tuition.

Duplicate Degree/Certificate (FA) Covers costs of verification, production, and delivery of duplicate copies of degrees and certificates.

EMT CPR Training (GM) Fee for the certification course required for entrance into the EMT program. It is also is a common prerequisite for many Health/Medical programs at NSCC. The current schedule is available from the EMT Prerequisites page.

English Placement Appeal Test (ER) Covers costs associated with administering and evaluating English placement appeals tests.

Health/Medical Program Application Fee (AH) Recovery of faculty and staff costs spent in processing applications and meeting w/ prospective students applying to Pharmacy Tech, Nursing, and Medical Assisting programs.

Laboratory Fee (FB, FC, FG, FN) Covers costs associated with maintenance of lab equipment and supplies for art, jewelry, health/medical, and science lab courses.

Late Registration Fee (LT) Covers costs associated with handling late registration petitions and approvals. Petitions require documentation of extenuating circumstances that prevented registration during the standard timeframe, and are only considered for students who attended the classes for which they are petitioning prior to the 10th day of the quarter (8th for summer).

Online Courseware Support Fee (UC) A support fee for each course which uses online courseware such as WebCT, Angel, or FirstClass. This does not apply to Distance Learning courses.

ORCA Card (CG) The SCCD-issued ORCA Card is a transit pass created for SCCD that is accepted by all 6 Puget Sound regional transit authorities. The pass is valid for the entire quarter, and provides unlimited travel during peak and off-peak times without zone-restrictions. The SCCD-issued ORCA is not valid on State Ferries, but is valid on all bus routes, King County Water Taxi, Kitsap Foot Ferry, Seattle Streetcar, Sounder & Link Light Rail. Students enrolled in 10 or more credits may purchase the pass at the discounted price. Students enrolled for less than 10 credits pay the standard price. Students may purchase either an ORCA Card or Parking Permit, but not both.

ORCA Card—Summer (CG) Special transit pass rate for summer session. Same benefits & restrictions as regular SCCD-issued ORCA Card.

PE Materials (DF) Covers the cost of cleaning various Wellness Center and Physical Education equipment.

Petition Credit by Exam (ET) NSCC provides the opportunity to challenge certain courses for students who demonstrate that they have the knowledge and skills equivalent to that course offered at NSCC. This fee covers costs associated with the administration and processing of Credit by Exam petitions.

Pharmacy Tech Lab (EV) Covers costs associated with maintenance of lab equipment and supplies.

Photo ID Fee (AA) All new and interrupted students, except Continuing Education students, will be required to purchase a photo ID card. A one-time, mandatory fee will be charged with tuition. The ID card will also be needed to check out books, gain access to recreational facilities and for other student activities. The card is good for as long as you are a student. If you lose the card, or it is stolen, damaged or mutilated, there will be a replacement fee. This identification is valid only as a Seattle Community College District identification. Placement Testing Fee (EA) Applicants must take mandatory placement tests in both English and math prior to initial enrollment. The testing session fee is charged for each testing session. Both tests may be done in one session, or separate sessions per applicant's choice. This fee is also charged for GED tests.

Returned Check Fee (AZ) Fee to cover costs associated with checks returned due to insufficient funds.

Special Programs Access Fee Optional fee for certain Running Start, Continuing Education, and ESL students who wish to have the same access to the Wellness Center facilities as students enrolled in standard programs.

Technical Theatre Support Fee Fee is applied to students enrolled in technical theatre courses.

Transcript Fee (FT) Fee to cover costs associated with issuing official NSCC academic transcripts. Unofficial transcripts are available free of charge from our Online Services.

Transcript Fee: Expedited Service (WS) Fee to cover costs associated with expediting same-day issuance of official NSCC academic transcripts. See Transcript Info for details and restrictions. Unofficial transcripts are available free of charge from our Online Services.

Transportation Management Fee (CP) Seattle Community College District is required by law to meet the Transportation Management Program and Commute Trip Reduction laws. As a result, students enrolled in 10 or more credits (or credit-equivalents) must pay this quarterly transportation fee.

Universal Technology Fee (UT) The Universal Technology Fee is applied to every student except: students enrolled in 3 credits or less, students enrolled in non-credit classes, ABE/ESL students, GED Prep students, students enrolled only in distance learning or Washington online classes.

Wellness Center Access Fee (DX) Students pay a per-credit Wellness Center access fee for the first 10 credits. Students enrolled exclusively in special-programs classes such as Continuing Education, and ESL are not required to pay the access fee, but do not have access to the Wellness Center Facilities unless paying the optional Special Programs Access Fee.
