NSCC's program can help you prepare for an exciting career as an Emergency Medical Technician. The EMT program consists of one 10-credit course. Upon completion of this one-quarter program, you will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by North's Health and Medical Division and will be eligible to take the Washington State Certification Exam to become a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Before being accepted into North's EMT program, students must pass a written first aid test and be able to provide a current CPR card. CPR must be at the Healthcare Provider level or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer level. CPR classes are held quarterly at North, and the written first aid test is administered prior to entrance into the program. Information on the courses and first aid test preparation is available in the Prerequisites section.
