FAQ: Frequent Questions
This certificate is intended for current employees in the medical field only. Nine hundred hours of formal education at the post-secondary level must be completed including the following courses to qualify for HCA levels A, C & E.

Prerequisites: Courses must be within the last ten years or COMPASS test is required. Contact Testing Center.

  • A high school diploma or GED or 18 years of age
  • AHE103
  • AHE100, ENGL&101, or ENGL&230
  • BUS169 or IT101

Applicant should have oral English skills sufficient to communicate accurately with others in the medical field. Applicant must have completed a medical terminology course.

Non-modular courses required for the program: AMA170 through AMA181 (12 modules totaling 13 credits).
