Phlebotomist Certificate (I-BEST)

Closeup photo of blood being drawn by phlebotomist using a syringe The Phlebotomist Certificate is one of the I-BEST options that provides both basic education and workforce skills. Students who successfully complete this certificate are prepared to work as phlebotomists in clinical workplaces.

Prerequisites

  • Instructor Permission (required)
  • Either CASAS reading & listening score of 215 (or better), or COMPASS English placement score of 40 (or better)
  • Either Placement into (or completion of) ENGL&101, or concurrent enrollment in ABE049 or ESL059
