North's Pharmacy Technician program is considered a model for pharmacy technician training all over the United States.
Courses incorporate didactic and clinical experiences performing mechanical, technical, and manipulative tasks associated
with drug dispensing, purchasing, and record keeping. All instructors of the pharmacy-specific courses are concurrently
employed by pharmacies so courses are up-to-date and students are trained in current pharmacy practices and procedures.
Students practice their skills in North's community and hospital pharmacy laboratories. Computerized
prescription processing is taught with pharmacy software used in Washington pharmacies. Clinical rotations ensure that
students learn from professionals in the field. Tutoring services are provided through the Health/Medical Division.
