LPN to RN Ladder

Program Overview

Photo: nurse wearing blue scrubs The Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse Ladder Program at North Seattle Community College provides an option for LPNs to complete coursework for a 3-quarter RN program that will make them eligible to take the Washington State Medical Board Registered Nurse exam.

Successful completion of the program earns you an Associate Degree of Nursing. However, students must first successfully complete the LPN certificate program. The RN coursework in the LPN to RN Ladder program is completed in the second year, and successful students are then eligible for the state board exam.

The Seattle Community Colleges are an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. This program was funded in part by a grant awarded under the President's Community-Based Job Training Grants, as implemented by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment & Training Administration.
