Photo: Students play in a band. The Music Department offers courses in music history, performance, and theory in styles that range from Big Band Era Jazz to Classical Music. As a music student at North, you will have an opportunity to learn from professionals who are currently performing or composing for the music profession. Many music courses fulfill General Education, U.S. Cultures, or Global Studies requirements for NSCC Transfer degrees. You can also earn an Associate of Fine Arts in Music degree. This degree includes only transfer credits and transfers directly to some colleges, including The Evergreen State College.
