Steps to Begin
Track Your Credits
Listed below is a recommended sequence of courses for the AFA degree in Music; however, it may be necessary to take some courses out of sequence as the quarterly schedule dictates. Curriculum substitutions may be made only with the approval of the student's advisor and the head of the Music Department.

Many non-music courses may be taken during the summer quarter. For more information about the program or the annual schedule contact the Humanities Division.

Piano proficiency is required; for those proficient in piano, either vocal or instrumental classes may be substituted.
Choose from MUSC126, 127, 128, or MUSC221, 222, 223.
Note 2:
Music majors are urged to participate in more than one performance group for added ensemble experience.
Note 3:
Currently this requirement is met with MUSC130 and MUSC299. See advisor for information.
