The Theater program is part of the College's
AA / Transfer Degree program.
Courses are open to all students. Subjects include Introduction to Theater,
Acting, Directing, Acting for the Camera, Musical Theater Production, and
Design. We also offer a full range of technical theater courses including
Set Design and Construction, Costuming, Lighting, Sound, Properties, and
Stage Management. The department makes use of online instruction, independent
study, individual projects, and partnerships with other departments at the
college. Students may enroll in classes which satisfy both required and
elective courses of the AA
degree or may take courses independent of any degree program. There is at
least one production each quarter which allows students to work in all
phases of production and may be used for credit in the degree program,
if desired.
