The Theater Department at NSCC
believes that by making theater we — practitioners and audience members
alike — come to a deeper understanding of the world and ourselves. Our
mission is to make this experience available to as many students and members
of the community as possible. We do this for students through an open enrollment
policy that invites majors and non-majors alike to participate in our classes
and productions. Community members are also welcome to take part in productions,
onstage and backstage. And for all our patrons, we offer our productions free
of charge.
Theater is collaborative by nature and seeks to reflect upon the world in which we live. In order to do this, theater must be aggressively inclusive. The NSCC Theater Department actively seeks and genuinely values the participation of every member of our diverse community.
