NSCC Students rates are based on a small cohort of 213 students who matched
the following selection criteria:
- Attended credit classes full-time (at least 12 credits)
- Never attended an institution of higher education prior to Summer of Fall Quarter of 2004
- Reported to be seeking a degree or certificate or planned to transfer to a 4-year college or university.
Students within this cohort were counted as completes or transfers if they
obtained their certificate or degree at North Seattle Community College or
successfully transferred to a four-year college or university by August 31,
2007. Consequently, completion rates reported here do not represent the success
rate of the achievements occurring beyond the three-year tracking period.
In compliance with the federal Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act
of 1990 (Public Law 101-542) and the applicable Higher Education Amendments,
including the Higher Education Reauthorization Act of 1998, it is the policy
of North Seattle Community College to make its completion and transfer rates
readily available to all current and prospective students.
