North Offers Classes in Sand Point, Near UW

Ample parking and busy-schedule-friendly offerings for working people and university students will be available this winter at the Sand Point Education Center, blocks away from the UW in the Laurelhurst area. Students can register now. The winter quarter begins January 4.
The classes include a Saturday real estate class for people who want to pursue their license and two college transfer Spanish classes. Here’s a closer look at what you can take this winter at the Sand Point Education Center:
- RES 100
REAL ESTATE FUNDAMENTALS - Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Pre-license course prepares the student for the Washington State Real Estate Salesperson License Exam. Also introduces sales and listing practices, financing, appraising, title, escrow, and property management. - SPA 101
ELEMENTARY SPANISH – Mondays and Wednesdays, 2–4:20 p.m. Pronunciation, fundamentals of grammar and syntax, oral and written exercises, reading and conversation, and cultural aspects of the countries in which Spanish is spoken. Audio practice required outside of class. Intended for students who have not previously studied Spanish. - SPA 102
ELEMENTARY SPANISH - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-4:20 p.m. Continuation of first year Spanish sequence. Pronunciation, fundamentals of grammar and syntax, oral and written exercises, reading and conversation, and cultural aspects of the countries in which Spanish is spoken. Audio practice required outside of class. Prerequisite required.
