North Student Selected for International PTK Post

Erin Wilson, North Seattle Community College student, has been elected international vice president of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the honor society for two-year college students throughout the world. To qualify for membership, students must earn a 3.5 grade point average.
Wilson will represent the Western U.S. (west of Kansas), Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam for the society.
As vice president, Wilson will receive a $2,000 scholarship and a laptop for use during her term. She will also spend the next year traveling to PTK chapters around the country including a visit to next year’s convention in Nashville, TN.
Wilson, NSCC’s PTK chapter events coordinator, was also selected for the All-Washington academic team, based on her 3.9 grade point average and her extra curricular activities which include working with children and volunteering for numerous causes, such as Campfire USA.
