NSCC Offers Path to Social Work Career

Employment of social workers is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations through 2014, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. And now you can explore this rapidly expanding field at North!
SWF 200 Introduction to Social Welfare, to be offered this fall, is designed to introduce students to the profession of social work and the system within which it operates.
It will enable you to:
- Explore social work as a career
- Prepare to transfer to the UW School of Social Work BASW program, or
- Get a foundational course in social work for your related AA transfer degree.
North is the only community college offering this class, which mirrors a class taught at the UW. The fall quarter begins September 25.
