Patience? Steady hands? Consider watchmaking!
Tuesday, July 18th, 2006
Applications are being accepted for the Watch Technology Institute at North Seattle Community College in Seattle, WA, one of only five WOSTEP training programs in the country and the only one on the West Coast.
WOSTEP is an independent and neutral institution that is recognized as an exemplary training center in the field of watch making. It is an essential link in the chain of success that Swiss horological products enjoy on international markets.
"Watch repair is a challenging job that requires patience, excellent eyesight and steady hands. There is a need for well-qualified individuals to repair the complex, high-end watches that are in the marketplace today," said Elaine Rolf, instructor.
Graduates can earn WOSTEP’s certificate, the only internationally recognized certification and a door opener to jobs around the world.
North Seattle’s watch technology department has been a WOSTEP Partnership school since 1994. The Watch Technology Institute is supported by an annual grant from Rolex.
