Financial Aid Office unveils scholarship website

North’s Financial Aid Office has created an online resource for students seeking funding for their education. The webpage, www.northseattle.edu/enroll/finance/scholar, provides a list of current scholarships, which includes links to the donor websites. Scholarships may be searched alphabetically, by due date, or by post date depending on preference. The Financial Aid office explained that this scholarship section was created to make scholarships more accessible to students, especially for those taking evening or distance learning classes. Additional items that can be found on the webpage are tips for requesting recommendations, information on essay writing, as well as signs to look for to avoid scholarship scams. Scholarship postings and applications will still be available in the Financial Aid Office, College Center Building.
