North Real Estate Program Goes Green!

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

NSCC’s real estate program is once again at the vanguard of the business this fall with the addition of an innovative course in “green” real estate. Designed for real estate brokers and agents, as well as appraisers, home inspectors, investors, developers and builders, the class offers cutting-edge information about developing, constructing and marketing environmentally friendly buildings

The program, which is also helpful for homeowners, covers topics such as environmental sustainability; site selection and acquisition; energy and water efficiency; material selection; indoor air quality; how to recycle job site waste and other relevant issues.

Real estate brokers and agents can earn 30 Department of Labor continuing education clock hours by taking the class and can become a Built Green Certified Professional.

Built Green is an environmentally friendly, non-profit, residential building program of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, developed in partnership with King County, Snohomish County and other agencies in Washington State.

The class will be offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., September 25 through December 11, 2007, and is designated as RES 130.
