Loft Writing Center To Offer Tutors Online

Once again, North Seattle Community College is at the vanguard of academics in Western Washington as we join several other Washington colleges to offer a new e-tutoring program via real time and email.
The service will be available 24 hours, seven days a week and can particularly help distance learning students. The Loft Writing Center Plus will have three tutors participating in the new Northwest e-tutoring consortium.
Students can still submit their essays and receive feedback from tutors. Now they will also be able to log on to the site and receive live tutoring online complete with audio, video, and chat room capabilities.
Participants may be assisted by tutors at other participating colleges such as Washington State University, Tacoma Community College or Clark Community College.
New users will be asked to register by creating an account and filling out this form: https://frontpage.northseattle.edu/etutoring. Then, they will be sent information about how to access the service. A formal link will be added soon to North’s website where students can easily find this tutoring program.
