New Sustainability Web Site Launched

NSCC’s Sustainability Committee recently revealed a new Web site that you’ll want to be sure to bookmark. It features information about the college’s sustainability efforts and the committee’s activities as well as connections to “green” resources – events, organizations working on sustainability or environmental initiatives, businesses that sell green products, etc. It also identifies NSCC courses that include sustainability principles in disciplines ranging from biology to real estate. One of the main goals of the Sustainability Committee is to support the development of curriculum that will help North students learn more about this growing social movement, practice what they learn in the classroom and pass that knowledge on to others in the community.
You can also find out about the college’s upcoming Earth Week activities and how you can get involved - whether you’re a student, employee or college neighbor.
