Responsibilities

An individual needs to be appointed to ensure that all the requirements of the program are fully implemented, as necessary. This individual is Frank Deering and his duties include:

• Identifying work areas and processes or tasks that require individuals to wear respirators, and evaluating hazards
• Monitoring respirator use to ensure that they are used in accordance with their certification
• Conducting qualitative/quantitative fit testing
• Maintaining records required by the program
• Evaluating the program
• Updating the written program as necessary
• Arranging for and/or conducting training
• Administering the medical surveillance program

Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the program is administered in their particular areas.

Employees have the responsibility of wearing his or her respirator when and where required and in the manner in which they were trained. Also they are required to care for and maintain their respirator as instructed and store them in a clean and sanitary location. They should inform their supervisor if the respirator no longer fits and request a new one and also inform the program administrator if there are any hazards that they feel are not adequately addressed.

Prezant Inc will provide exposure monitoring as needed to ensure adequate protection

The program administrator is responsible to revise and update the hazard evaluation as needed. Employees have the right to request a hazard evaluation of their work area or process and the results of this evaluation must be communicated back to them.
