Photo: Students listen to lecture in computer classroom. The NSCC Network Infrastructure and Security program provides a solid introduction to networking with an in-depth study into multiple operating systems and skills that are in demand in today's workplace.

Coursework begins with a basic foundation in networks, software, and programming. Students take classes on both Unix/Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems to provide a strong foundation in common technologies. Students can choose from a wide variety of instructional modalities, such as instructor-led classes, Distance Learning classes, weekend classes and short skill set certificates.

In the final quarters, students are introduced to the specialty classes in LAN/WAN/Wireless technologies, popular business server software and network security fundamentals. Electives in Cisco, network security and defense, computer forensics, database and e-mail administration are also offered to allow the students to customize the program to suit the needs of their current or future employer.
