Hints & Help

If you are having difficulties logging on, please note:

  1. Hours: Are you trying to access after the system is closed for the night? After 11:00pm and before 5:00am, the services are not available. Try again between 5:00am and 11:00pm.
  2. Busy Signal: Are you getting server messages like "server error: busy"? If so, the system is overloaded with registering students. This is a temporary condition. Please wait for an hour or two and try again. (If the system is expriencing prolonged problems, a notice will be posted on the Online Services page.)
  3. Eligibility: NSCC offers these services to web-based services for currently and previously enrolled students only. So...
    • If you have not yet enrolled -or- have just enrolled but cannot access, see 'New Students'.
    • If you have previously enrolled in the college there are some limitations and changes you should be aware of. See 'Returning Students'.
    • If you are a currently enrolled student, See 'Currently Enrolled Students.'

 New Students

  1. New Students must first apply to the college and go through the steps to admission. If you have not yet applied to the college, then visit the Steps to Admission and begin the process.
  2. If you have applied to the college, you must have your Student ID and PIN to use the Online Services. This can take up to a week.
  3. If you have received your Student ID and PIN, but forgot or lost them, visit the Student ID/PIN Information page.
  4. If you need help with the registration process, visit the Web Registration page for basic instructions or the Web Registration Instructions for more detailed workings of the online registration system.
  5. If you need help with some of the terminology, or need to understand the requirements or policies visit the Admissions/Registration policy page.
  6. If you have read through the above, and have not found a solution to your problem, please contact the Admissions/Registration office. Read through "Contacting Admissions/Registration for Help".

 Returning Students

Returning Students refers to students that have applied or attended before, but have not taken classes for a quarter or more.
  1. If you have applied or attended the college before, and want to register for classes again you only need to reactive your account. Visit Admissions/Registration: Returning Students for more information.
  2. If you have attended the college before, and want to access the online services for unofficial transcripts, grade information, hope scholarship/tax credit then you can use your Student ID and PIN. If you have forgotten or lost them, visit the Student ID/PIN Information page.
  3. If you have read through the above, and have not found a solution to your problem or know that you need to re-activate your account, please contact the Admissions/Registration office. Read through "Contacting Admissions/Registration for Help".

 Currently Enrolled Students

Currently Enrolled Students refers to students that have attended classes continually from quarter to quarter (except summer).
  1. If you have forgotten or lost your Student ID or PIN visit the Student ID/PIN Information page.
  2. If you need help with the registration process, visit the Web Registration page for basic instructions or the Web Registration Instructions for more detailed workings of the online registration system.
  3. If you need help with some of the terminology, or need to understand the requirements or policies visit the Admissions/Registration policy page.
  4. If you have read through the above, and have not found a solution to your problem, please contact the Admissions/Registration office. Read through "Contacting Admissions/Registration for Help".

 Contacting Admissions/Registration for Help

Admissions/Registration recommends you come prepared. If you come in person, be prepared with your Student ID and password. If you need your Student ID and password information, be sure to bring a valid picture ID for identification purposes.
