One-on-one help

There are a variety of pre-college courses available at North to help prepare students for success in academics and in life!

Career Link
A program to encourage students who dropped out of high school prepare for a new vocation. Visit the Career Link website.

Running Start
A program that encourages high school students to take college classes while still finishing their high school diploma. Visit the Running Start website.

Upward Bound
A program that provides support and services for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and families where the student would be the first-generation college graduate. Visit the Upward Bound web page.

Adult Basic Education
Adult Basic Education offers a variety of programs that allow students to learn life skills, basic math, and reading and writing skills. Adult Basic Education has programs for high school completion, GED, and ESL courses. Visit the Adult Basic Education web page.

Academic Classes
Students that enter North Seattle are tested for college-level math and English skills. Students that need some improvement have a number of pre-college level math and English courses available to help them.

Our Testing Center provides testing for new students. Appointments are often required to take the tests. Visit the Testing Center website to get their latest schedule and make an appointment for a test.
