WSU Co-admission

Get a jump start on your bachelor's degree!

North Seattle Community College and Washington State University's Distance Degree Programs have teamed up to offer co-admission to students who have been accepted into NSCC. Co-admission guarantees admission to WSU DDP upon successful completion of your associate's degree.

What is DDP?

WSU DDP offers several degrees that are earned completely through online classes. WSU online courses are identical to courses taught on a WSU campus but offer maximum flexibility with 24/7 access. WSU's online degree completion courses are taught by the same faculty who teach on a WSU campus and the curriculum is just as rigorous and dynamic.

Who should apply for co-admission?

Students interested in pursuing their bachelor's degree after completing their associate's degree in an online format should consider applying for co-admission. Students with family obligations, job commitments or a busy lifestyle that prevent them from attending traditional on-campus classes also find WSU DDP the perfect way to continue their education.

Besides being guaranteed admission to WSU DDP, you will become part of the Cougar family as you complete your associate's degree.

The WSU online student experience

Ask any WSU alumni and they'll tell you there's just something special about being a Coug. You'll enjoy that connection — whether you attend classes on the main campus in Pullman, at one of the three regional campuses around the state, or online through DDP. And when you graduate, your degree and diploma will be identical to those received on campus.

What sets WSU DDP apart from other online degree programs?

WSU DDP is a pioneer in distance education as one of the first traditional universities in the nation to offer online degrees. Since 1992, DDP has been delivering courses developed by WSU instructors using dynamic content like interactive media to reinforce learning concepts.

WSU online learners have plenty of opportunities to interact with fellow students through online discussions and group projects. Faculty are dedicated to student success and are active participants in online discussions and postings. Beyond classroom interactions, DDP students stay connected both virtually and in person through involvement with DDP student government, networking, social and academic activities around the state. The student government recently introduced The Hometown Locator, a secure online program which allows DDP students to find other students in their area or with the same academic or career interests.

Support for WSU online students is unparalleled. Students have access to career counseling, e-tutoring, peer and alumni mentoring and student government, and all students work with an academic advisor to plan their course of study.
