Western Washington University

North Seattle Community College and Western Washington University have a partnership that allows a student to earn their transfer degree and continue with WWU program -- all on the North Seattle campus!

This program would allow a student to earn a Bachelor's degree in Education with a major in Interdisciplinary Child Development with a K-8 elementary teaching certificate from Western Washington University.

Western also offers a Master's in Teaching (MIT) with a 5-12 teaching certificate here at North Seattle Community College. The MIT is tailored for people who hold a BA/BS in fields endorsed by the state of Washington for secondary-level teaching and would like to receive a Master's degree along with their secondary certification.

Both the undergraduate (B.A. degree) and graduate (M.A. degree) programs are mostly night-time programs (except for the student teaching requirement), so that students may work during the day throughout most of the program.

If you are interested in receiving more information or would like to talk to someone, please contact the Program Coordinator using the contact information provided above.
