How to Enroll
  Who Qualifies?
These ESL classes are available to non-native speaking individuals students with green cards or are immigrants, refugees, or US citizens.

If you are an international student in another country, or if you are in the U.S. with a visa but you do not qualify for this ESL program, NSCC has an ESL program designed especially for you - the International ESL Program.

ESL Placement Test
Before entering the program, students must take the ESL test to evaluate their reading, writing and speaking skills in English to qualify for these classes. Make an appointment to take the Testing Center ESL Test.

If the student cannot read or write any English, it is not necessary to take the placement test. Contact the ESL Advisor. The student will need to fill out an application to enroll in the beginning level classes.

Wait for the Letter
After you take the test, you must wait for a letter from the college telling you about your class. Some classes have a waiting list, so you must wait for an opening and a letter from the college.
