RES130 — Green Real Estate

This general course is popular with homeowners and real estate professionals alike. You'll learn about environmental sustainability, water and energy efficiency and utilization, indoor air quality, building and landscape architecture and design processes as well as materials and products for new construction or remodeling/restoration, recycling job site waste and reusing salvaged materials, and sustainable site selection and acquisition. Case studies, field trips and projects complement classroom sessions and readings.

RES217 — Real Estate Development and Sustainability

This course explores policies and approaches to incorporating sustainability into the development of residential, commercial and industrial real estate and provides a complete overview of how to integrate green principles from project start to completion. You'll also review green building ratings systems and learn about the benefits of sustainable development, how to use LEED tools to assess acquisitions and about financing options.
