Drop-in Classes

The Drop-In Classes are non-credit classes available to NSCC students, faculty and staff - or Wellness Center members. Choose a class that fits your schedule and meets your interests. If you have any questions about our hours feel free to call our front desk Phone. 206-527-3631. Thank you and hope to see you soon.

Drop-in classes will begin the week of October 5.

Please note that we are closed Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8am - 11am, due to Physical Education classes.

Class Descriptions

Ab Lab This 30 min. class will focus on core abdominal training using various exercises, including fit balls and other props. All levels are welcome.

Hip Hop Jazz Cardio Fusion of beginning level jazz and street-based dance techniques. Develops muscular endurance, flexibility and balance through unique movements characterized by loose structure and individual style.

Kickboxing Pre-designed Kickboxing interval class. Cardio section uses intensity drills and increased energy sprints followed by work recovery segments.

Pilates Improve your stability, mobility, posture, and strength. This course includes Pilates fundamentals, and exercises to work muscles in and around the abdomen, back, gluteals, spine, chest and thighs.

Power Sculpt This class utilizes various types of exercise equipment to help increase your strength, endurance and core body strength.

Water Form Tai Chi As the name suggests, there is a fluidity and circularity of the movements and postures that helps the practitioner connect with one’s natural vital internal Chi energy. The practice of this form also brings about a sense of peace and relaxation in one’s life.

Weight Training Lab This open time is set for anyone who has questions about fitness related topics, exercises, and workout routines.

Yoga The benefits of yoga include improved posture, circulation, breathing and flexibility. Regular yoga practice can lead to increased strength, stress relief, and enhanced self-awareness.
