North Seattle Community College offers a unique educational program for young people 16-21 years old who have left high school without graduating. The Career Link Academy was established to help young people further their education and prepare for vocational opportunities.
The Career Link Academy provides GED and pre-vocational preparation, job readiness and computer skills, career and education exploration and planning, and assistance in enrolling in vocational programs on campus.
To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age, but under 21, and have no high school diploma. (Students may be enrolled in the program if they have completed their GED). We have an open enrollment policy so that students may enroll throughout the college quarter if space is available. There is no charge for tuition. Books, supplies, and bus tickets are provided to eligible students.
Students who are successful in the Career Link Academy may also apply for sponsorships into vocational training programs at NSCC. Sponsorships through Career Link provide tuition and textbook assistance.
