Students at North Seattle Community College may be interested in completing a brief self-assessment screening for depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder. Since people can suffer from these disorders at the same time, or one can cause symptoms that seem like the other, you may want to take all of the screenings offered. Each screening will take 4 to 5 minutes to complete.

Your screening score is informational and not a medical diagnosis. Your scores indicate whether your responses suggest depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder and where to call for help. Students at NSCC may make an appointment with a counselor at the NSCC Counseling Center to discuss their results. The screening and consultation with a counselor is not a substitute for a medical evaluation and students are encouraged to contact their medical provider.
