Students at North Seattle Community College may be interested in completing a brief self-assessment screening for depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder. Since people can suffer from these disorders at the same time, or one can cause symptoms that seem like the other, you may want to take all of the screenings offered. Each screening will take 4 to 5 minutes to complete.

Your screening score is informational and not a medical diagnosis. Your scores indicate whether your responses suggest depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder and where to call for help. Students at NSCC may make an appointment with a counselor at the NSCC Counseling Center to discuss their results. The screening and consultation with a counselor is not a substitute for a medical evaluation and students are encouraged to contact their medical provider. If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency, please call 911. A 24-hour help line is available by contacting the Seattle/King County Crisis Clinic at (206)461-3222 or toll free at 1-866-4CRISIS.

When you click on the link below, you will leave the North Seattle Community College web page. The college does not manage or control web sites not owned by the college. A core value and objective of this screening is to preserve participants' anonymity. The college cannot identify you through your responses. The only information that can be reported to the college is aggregate in nature and pertains to general information regarding the number of screenings that take place, the results of the screenings, and general demographic information. If you prefer to not provide that information, each demographic question allows a no response answer. Answering no response will have no impact on the results of the test.

If you have any questions or concerns about the privacy and security of the online screening tool, please review the privacy policy prior to beginning the screening.
