Pre-Admission Inquiries
Disability Services will provide information about the services provided by this office, how to establish eligibility for these services, what constitutes appropriate documentation of a disability, and answer other disability-related questions over the phone, by email or in person.
Intake Interview
The Student Success Specialist or the Program Coordinator will meet with students who have submitted documentation of their disability to determine their eligibility for disability services and establish, if requested, appropriate and reasonable academic adjustments.
Academic Accommodations
The process of selecting reasonable accommodations for each qualified student with a disability shall be made on an individual basis, appropriate to the nature and extent of the student's disability. Requested accommodations must be supported by the documented effects of the disability. The following are some of the common accommodations available through or provided by Disability Services. This list is not all inclusive and the accommodations listed may not be applicable to the effects of every disability.
Accessible furniture in classrooms
Alternative print textbooks and other educational materials, e.g., audio taping, enlarged print, electronic formatted textbooks, Braille
Alternative testing arrangements, e.g., extended time to complete tests, use of computers
Adaptive equipment, e.g., tape recorders, adaptive keyboard, computer software, closed caption devices, TTY

Disability Services provides consultation to students, faculty and staff regarding academic accommodations provided to students, disability laws and other disability-related issues.

Resource/Referral
Disability Services has an extensive list of campus and community resources available for students with disabilities. Disability Services will make referrals as appropriate.
