  • A desire and willingness to work to improve their language skills
  • A specific goal for each session
  • Active participation
  • Requests for help and further explanation when needed
  • Notice to Loft personnel of special needs
  • Respect for others
  • Attention to established procedures
  • An understanding that the work of learning is ultimately their responsibility
  • An acceptance of learning as an ongoing, incremental process
