NSCC instructors, in any discipline where critical reading and writing figures, should know that The Loft is here to help their students thrive.

Assignments: Instructors can email copies of their writing assignments to the Loft director, who will make them available to Loft tutors. Such materials let us know what to expect from visiting students.
Loft Referrals: Instructors can use the Loft Referral form to help communicate, to student and tutor alike, the precise nature of the assistance they believe their students should seek at The Loft.

Loft Workshops: Students can arrange with their classmates to attend a variety of specialized English skills workshops. Instructors should encourage their students to take advantage of these collaborative lessons, conducted by the Loft director and various Loft tutors. Loft workshops.
SmartBoard: The Loft's SmartBoard classroom, seating roughly 20, is available for instructors who would like to try this interactive computer presentation technology. The Loft director, upon request, is happy to provide demonstrations and arrange instructor usage times.
Orientations: Instructors can contact the Loft director, anytime during the quarter, to receive an introduction for their students to Loft services. These orientations can happen in either the classroom or The Loft itself.
