Student Progress - Policies and Procedures at NSCC

To assist students in achieving academic success the Seattle Community College District has a policy that requires all NSCC students to make satisfactory academic progress while enrolled at NSCC. Satisfactory progress means that you are passing and completing your coursework and educational programs.

You will be contacted if:

  • You do not maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
  • You have a pattern of not successfully completing at least 75% of your courses each quarter.

The policy to maintain a minimum grade point average applies to all students. The 75% successful completion policy applies to students who are enrolled in degree or certificate programs at NSCC.

Students who do not demonstrate satisfactory academic progress will be subject to corrective actions.
