Bicycle & Walking Benefits

Photo: cyclist riding to campus Free, sheltered bike racks are conveniently located in various places throughout the campus. No registration is required for bike rack use. Student and employee bikers who sign up for the Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Program pledge to bike or walk to work a minimum of 3 times per week all quarter and receive an NSCC bike registration sticker to help identify their bicycles in case of loss or theft. Additional benefits are available to employees who choose to register in the CTR Program as bikers or walkers. The college provides those employees the opportunity to apply for Zipcar use on the college account, and provides the Guaranteed Ride Home, a taxi ride to home or vehicle in the case of an emergency involving the CTR participant or their family member. Employee CTR bikers may gain access to showers at the Wellness Center.
