The Philosophy Program offers a variety of courses to introduce students to the basics of Philosophy and critical thinking. Courses include Introduction to Philosophy and Introduction to Ethics as well as more detailed courses in Bioethics, Philosophy of Religion and Introduction to Logic.

Almost all Philosophy courses at NSCC focus on the use of primary sources rather than textbooks; students thus dialog directly with original classical and contemporary thinkers. Philosophy faculty participate regularly in Coordinted Studies programs.
